I write, voice and shoot stories for print, broadcast and online mediums.
I just completed my MSJ at the Medill Graduate School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Prior to attending Medill, I worked as a radio reporter for Oregon Public Broadcasting. My work also appeared in the following publications: National Public Radio, the McClatchy News Service, Military Times, the American Journalism Review, Dime Magazine and United Press International.
I completed a fellowship with the Carnegie-Knight financed News21 project in the summer of 2011.
I just wrapped up production on an investigative project in Washington DC. As a National Security Journalism Initiative Fellow, a joint venture with the Medill School and the Washington Post, I reported on behavioral health issues for National Guard and Reservists in the past decade of war. Those stories will be published in The Post and online in early 2012.
My next journey is to New York City, where I will be interning at Bloomberg News on the education desk.
